While I was in Vancouver, I delivered the prize winning package from the Epic Sustainability Expo to Carolyn Klassen (we drew her name at the staff meeting 2 weeks ago).
Our winner visited all five of our Green Givers’ booths and correctly named the 5 species at risk that were at each table. She was so excited to win that she screamed and hugged me repeatedly! All of her coworkers were ecstatic and they all proudly display their Sierra Club calendars. I felt like Bob Barker on the Price is Right.
And what a prize! Carolyn received a box of Denman Island chocolate bars, 2 bags of Salt Spring coffee, $100 gift certificate to Earls, $100 gift certificate to Artisan wine shops, a 1 year membership to Zip cars and a free weekend rental of a Mini.
