BC Youth Congress

Sierra's inspiring environmental educator Amy Cousins explores pathways to community with an effervescent youth gathering - BC's first ever Youth Congress.

Eighty youth leaders from around the province gathered in Vancouver February 18th to discuss transformative change and sustainability at a youth congress hosted by The Fraser Basin Council.

Amy Cousins, from Sierra Club's Sustainable High Schools Project, co-facilitated a breakout session on 'Sustainability in our Communities'.

Other activities included a meet-and-greet mingle to music, a commitment circle, and a resource and skills session  on how to join, support, and lead communities of action!
