Thousands of candlelight vigils, marches, "signature walls", and other events have taken place to urge world leaders to sign a climate deal in Copenhagen.

The message is clear: at the Copenhagen climate summit, the world wants a real deal!

Thousands of candlelight vigils, marches, "signature walls", and other events have taken place to urge world leaders to sign a climate deal in Copenhagen.

Check out petition totals for an ambitious, fair and binding deal: ten million and counting!

Sierra Club BC Board members Jamie Biggar and Tria Donaldson are in Copenhagen as members of the Canadian Youth Delegation. Check their blog here.

Please join Sierra Club BC in taking action to stop global warming:

Phone Prime Minister Stephen Harper at (613) 992-4211 and Opposition Leader Michael Ignatieff at (613) 995-9364, and let them know you want climate leadership. That means both a real deal in Copenhagen and action at home to quickly and drastically reduce CO2 emissions.

  • Join a candle-lit vigil in your community. In Victoria, the vigil will take place on Bastion Square between 6 pm and 6:30 pm. Find a vigil near you.
