Scientists and Innovators in the Schools: Science World British Columbia

As a non-profit organization, Science World British Columbia engages British Columbians in science and inspires future leadership in science and technology. Scientists and Innovators in the Schools (SIS) has partnered with Sierra Club BC’s Education Program for our in-class presentations. SIS’s goal is to inspire students in the classroom with visits from real scientists and helps facilitate school visits across the province.

My grandpa, a jovial man, used to say that the sun always shines – if only for a brief moment - on Saturdays. I plan to tell my (hypothetical) grand-kids something similar: that the sun always shines on Earth Day. Last week, in Victoria, the sun was shining bright enough to light up the next century of Earth Days.
