Step 1: Like Sierra Club BC Education Program on Facebook.

Step 2: Send us an email with a 300 word essay about your favourite place in nature. Be sure to also tell us what a camp scholarship would mean to you. Please also attach 1‐2 photos that showcase your favourite natural place (include photographer’s name‐ if it’s not yours, make sure you have permission to use it). Use the words “Camp Essay Contest” in the subject line.

Step 3: Get your friends and family to “like” your image once it’s posted on our Facebook page. You need at least 20 “likes” to stay in the contest. You can share your photo, but we won’t be able to count your “likes” if it’s not on our own page!

Hooray, you’re finished! Thanks for entering – the results will be up June 15, 2013.

How are we going to decide who wins?

Selection is based on a minimum of 20 “Likes” of the participant’s photo on the Sierra Club BC Education Page, and strength of essay: grammar, writing structure, creativity, genuine answers, and passion for nature, the arts, and the camp experience.

Share the Facebook love with Power of Hope! Check them out on Facebook for more information on their programs.
