What's on Offer for Youth with Sierra Club BC?
September is just around the corner, and Sierra Club BC is offering another year of amazing outdoor and environmental education programs for youth in the Capital Regional District!
Check them out:
YELP -Youth Environmental Leadership Program (Youth ages 14-18)
Are you passionate about environmental issues and social justice? Do you want to be a part of making change in your community and the world?
Join YELP in Victoria, which starts up again in September- free leadership-training workshops and activities focused on environmental and social justice.
Learn outdoor skills, participate in restoration projects, learn how to facilitate workshops, try out digital storytelling, develop your leadership skills and earn volunteer credit!
Share ideas (and food!) with like-minded youth. Meet inspiring community leaders. Hike. Camp. Inspire. Connect.
YIP- Youth in Parks (Youth ages 13-18)
Are you interested in getting outside and into nature? Want to learn about the parks near you?
Join a group of youth from all over Southern Vancouver Island who are interested in inspiring other youth to be outdoors and in parks.
Go on hikes, organize events, meet new people, have fun!
Youth in Parks is a partnership between Sierra Club BC, BC Parks, CRD Parks and Boys and Girls Club Services of Greater Victoria.
