What You Can Do

Action items for Endangered Species.

  • Join your voice to a growing number of British Columbians who want to see our species and their habitats protected and recovered. Write to Minister of Agriculture and Lands Pat Bell, Environment Minister Barry Penner or your MLA to express your concern.
  • If you enjoy the outdoors, consider getting your hands dirty restoring degraded habitats. Organizations like Evergreen, Habitat Conservation Trust and Streamkeepers are good places to start.
  • Use the power of your shopping dollars. Choose paper and timber products from certified, ecologically managed forests. Switch to cloth napkins, kitchen towels and

    handkerchiefs.
  • Want to do more? Download the Sierra Club Endangered Species Toolkit for things you can do together with your family and friends.
  • Print off our Species Protection petition and collect signatures in your community.
  • Host a "Biodiversity Tea Party" Guide. Click here to download the guide. Sit down together with your friends or family in your home, place of worship, or coffee shop to reflect, learn, and act in reverence and defense of our web of life.
