Back by popular demand!
Please join Sierra Lower Mainland in a walk around Boundary Bay to view the snowy owls that have migrated south in large numbers this year.
The outing will involve a walk along the Dyke Trail, guided by birder and naturalist John Tabak. The snowy owls' appearance in this area only occurs every five to six years in correspondence with a decline in the lemming population up north. Bring your binoculars!
This event is free.
Unfortunately there is a capped number of participants for this event so it is essential to RSVP to Ana if you are attending. People from the waiting list for the first outing have priority!
Boundary Bay tends to be a windy area (and we never know about rain here in Vancouver area) so please dress for the weather. A snack such as trail mix might be welcome to keep you body temperature up!
