On April 27, Sierra Quadra was out in force for Alexandra Morton's Get Out Migration - a call to action to save wild salmon from the biological disaster caused by open-net salmon farming.
Quadra Islanders welcomed Alexandra Morton at Heriot Bay and then proceeded to the Quadra Island community centre for an evening presentation by participants and local voices for wild salmon.
Morton launched a massive Get Out Migration on Earth Day, April 22. She walked and boated from Sointula to the Legislative Assembly in Victoria to save B.C.'s wild salmon.
