Farmland in B.C. is under assault from Delta to Fort St John, and British Columbians are standing up for their food lands. Right now, Metro Vancouver is the one remaining hurdle to the destruction of productive farmland in Tsawwassen. The Southlands proposal would plonk a full-blown shopping mall and more than 900 condos right next to Boundary Bay Park, miles away from urban centres and community services. This flies in the face of every commitment Metro Vancouver made in its Regional Growth Strategy.
