With the combined impacts of the climate crisis, peak oil, and economic instability, communities and individuals in Canada and around the world are facing drastic changes to our ways of life. The Transition Town movement offers a creative, proactive approach for communities to design their own way into a post-carbon future.  Sierra Victoria is part of the Transition Town movement which fosters a post-carbon way of life at a local level.

Transition Victoria is engaging the Greater Victoria region in creating a resilient future. We envision a region that is transformed over the next twenty years from the current addiction to fossil fuels to a diverse, sustainable, resilient local culture and economy. Together, we can design practical, doable steps to get off the oil-addicted treadmill and create a way of living that's more connected, more resilient and more climate-friendly.
