Managing Blog Posts

The assumption about the blog is that it will resemble the Signpost blog: http://www.wta.org/trail-news/signpost/

It involved basic configuration of Scrawl, installation and configuration of the tagcloud and some custom css to make tagcloud styling into an alphabetized list. In addition, there is a script that allows the Blog Tags portlet to only display keywords starting with the word "Blog". The word "Blog" then gets stripped out of the portlet.

This way, the "Tags" portlet only shows the keywords associated with Blog Items. And, rather than trying to strip the Blog keywords out elsewhere on the site, we've just decided to show them prefaced with the word "Blog" so that you remember to use them only in the blogs area.

To create a blog entry, go to yoursite/wild and add a new Blog Item to that folder. To categorize the blog item in the "Tags" portlet, you should click on the Properties tab and add a keyword to be associated with that Blog Item.
