Ocean Adventures

See the photo of the adorable spirit bear cubs eating mussels right next to the proposed Enbridge tanker route? Now's your chance to see spirit bears in person! Sierra Club BC corporate supporter Ocean Adventures Charter Co. shared this image with us and is offering a week-long trip this June along the very waterways that oil supertankers would travel on their way to and from Kitimat.

Ocean Adventures Charter Co. is working with Sierra Club BC to help stop the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline and the threat of oil supertankers travelling through the Great Bear Rainforest. In their work, they are witnesses to some of the most remote, picturesque and unspoiled locations on the coast of British Columbia (and planet Earth)! Sierra Club BC is thrilled to share in the adventure through their support, and the donation of some of the stunning images taken on their tours.

Join Ocean Adventures on their ship, the Great Bear II in June amidst some of the most powerful landscapes on earth, for Islands at the Edge / the Inside Passage, as we follow, in part, the route of the proposed oil supertankers that would meet Enbridge's proposed pipeline from Alberta's tar sands to Kitimat in B.C. From waterways carved out by receding glaciers where granite walls rise thousands of feet out of the sea to the rugged outer coast where the sea meets beaches edged in ethereal rainforest, you will discover why these oil SUPER tankers must not be allowed to transit some of the most pristine and complex ecosystems on earth!

The price of this trip is $3850 + HST.  10% of the price of this trip (before tax) will be donated to Sierra Club BC!  To learn more about this trip click here: or contact Trish at Ocean Adventures by email or by calling or texting her at 604-812-9453.
