Emily Menzies is excited to be joining the Education team to work on the programming offered by the BC Chapter for high schools in particular. She brings with her a direct connection and collaboration with the Sierra Youth Coalition, the youth branch of the Sierra Club, where she has been working for the past year and a half on projects by and for youth in B.C., ranging from the Making Waves Youth Action Gathering in Nanaimo to felting wool pictures in Vancouver for a yurt to the Dreamseed Community Action Gathering in Victoria. Her passion for the past 10 years and counting is to create and support hands-on experiential learning opportunities for youth to build awareness, community and leaderships skills for ecological justice.
