Micki Stirling Bio

mickiAt the Sierra Club BC, my mission as Operations Manager is to provide the Human Resource policies and practices for Sierra Club BC to be a model green employer and an ‘employer of choice’ for its employees. I also make sure that all Sierra Club BC staff and volunteers have the coordination and support they need to be as effective as possible, within available budget and other resources. I am an active member of the Management Team.

To that mission I bring 30 years’ experience in non-profit administration, most of which has been in Community Arts Development. Outside of Sierra Club BC, I am currently the Animateur ‘nurturing a community of gifted young musicians’ in the Collegium Program of the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and Coordinator of the James Bay Art Walk.

I have a modern family of relations, steps, in-laws, out-laws and alumni – many of whom are amateur musicians, cyclists, sailors and dancers and with whom my life is rich and full.
