Rahman Saleem Bio
Rahman Saleem was born and raised in Banff, Alberta. He also spent 3 years of his childhood in Pakistan with family.
He currently works as the development administrator as part of the inspiring development team at Sierra Club BC. Rahman studied art history and English at the University of Calgary, then ended up working at the MacKimmie university academic library for 4.5 years. He continued his work at U of C for 5 more years as a fullfillment manager for the university press. His last contract before leaving U of C, was with the university outdoor centre.
Rahman's volunteer work has included: teaching meditation, coordinating events, presentations and camping trips through the Kadampa Buddhist Centre. He has also been involved as a volunteer with the Art of Living organization for over 2 years.
Rahman decided to obtain his wilderness first aid certificate as he enjoys to spend his free time outside playing in nature. Rahman enjoys hiking, mountain biking, camping, and snowboarding. He also continues to learn about his spiritual and green passions: yoga, meditation, eco-sustainable living and building.
