Moira Campbell Bio
Moira Campbell has been with Sierra Club of BC since 2008 as Major & Corporate Giving Steward. Her passion is empowering people and organizations to create sustainable lives - emotionally, environmentally and financially.
Moira has recently worked in the wonderful world of ethical investing and has many years experience of fundraising. She has worked as a Fund Development Manager both with Dogwood Initiative (BC’s leading land reform organisation) in Canada and ADFAM National (The UK’s charity for families of drug users) in the UK.
She received her BA with Honours from the University of Sussex where she majored in International Relations in the School of English and American Studies.
Her experience of living and travelling in many parts of the world, including The British Isles, Eire, Zambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, Turkey and Canada, have broadened her perspective on human rights and global justice. As the daughter of an oil man living in Nigeria at the time of the Shell arms for oil disgrace, just prior to the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa, Moira developed an intense interest in environmental rights that persists to this day.
She loves to sing and drink tea, though not at the same time.
